New York NYC 4450 rack move underway

The move for rack 4450 in New York is underway. This is servers starting with srv59xx. We will update this posting as we have updated info.

  • This work is complete. if your sever is inaccessible, please load the KVM console and ensure it's booted into an operating system, before opening a ticket.

  • We've been informed that some people didn't receive the notice we sent out over the past month. Here is the template:

    Hello,

    You are receiving this email because we are notifying you of an upcoming maintenance that will take place soon, and will have an effect on your services.

    We are providing you with this advance notice so that you may take action to engage business continuity plans as necessary.

    What: New York servers starting with server id srv59xx When: Monday, January 2nd, 2023 Window: 2 PM to 12 AM ("midnight") Eastern (UTC-5) Impact: We will be moving servers from Coresite to INAP. This is one of our final groups of servers to move; long-time customers in this rack may remember that we planned, then canceled, this move last year.

    Frequently asked questions regarding maintenance actions:

    MAINTENANCE WINDOW: The time range that your services MAY be impacted. This is not a statement that your services will be down for the entirety of this time range.

    OPTIONAL: We apologize that this maintenance is not optional.

    CONNECTIVITY: No net change will take place to your Internet connectivity. Everything about the transit (latency, carriers, etc) will remain the same after the action as they were before. If anything, connectivity may improve slightly due to not having to go over a metro ring.

    SCHEDULING: This day and time is carefully chosen to ensure that everything goes as smooth as possible. While you may have workloads that would be impacted at this date and time, other customers would have workloads impacted at other dates and times.

    CREDIT: Scheduled maintenance actions do not qualify for SLA credit.

    We appreciate your understanding and we acknowledge that maintenance is disruptive, however this action is necessary to ensure that we can continue to provide fantastic service at an excellent price.

    Rest assured that our team will do everything in their power to ensure that the maintenance goes as smooth as possible in as short as time as permissible.
